Electricity distribution
Electricity transmission refers to the transmission of electrical energy from electricity production facilities to electricity users, for example to homes, businesses and various services in society. The electricity is transmitted via overhead lines or underground cables. In Finland, electricity networks are part of the main grid, regional grids or local distribution networks. The national transmission system operator Fingrid is responsible for the main grid.
